Artist Statement:

I choose birds and other animals, often endangered, as my art subjects to record my spiritual connection to them, to explore their totemic/symbolic meaning, to share their beauty, and to add to the conservation discourse. My goal is for the viewer to walk away with a new respect for nature and a desire to both seek out their own nature experiences and to preserve those sacred places where these beings can still be found.
